I like some things about the uk audio network site, for instance, I love the fact that it has audio on every page, so you don't even have to use jaws in order to use the sight. If my jaws crashed tomorrow, heaven forbid, I could still use that sight. There is actually a person who gives you instructions on what to do. You can just press numbers on the keyboard, and you're given the number to press for whatever category you want to go to. You can even listen to some radio stations on there, same way, just by pressing numbers on the keyboard. I had to listen to the instructions several times, to remind myself where I wanted to go. It was hard to get use to, even though it is neat. The sound around audio magazine is nice too, but I get too much break up on there. I don't know why I don't get break up on the uk network, but I do on the sound around site. I'm on dial up on both of them. I'm on dial up,every where. lol.
try playing the daily puzzles, it's lots of fun. Bill and David are laughs. Just go thereeveryday and listen and answer.
what's the web address for the uk audio site?
Yes, could I have the address as well lol? I've heard about, but never been to, this site.
Thanks!

Hi Caitlin and Alison, go to,
http://www.yrguk.com.uk.
I think that's the url, but to be honest, I just copied it and pasted it from an email list I was on. So if that's not quite the correct url, let me know, and I'll try and get the url directly from the sight.
Hi Texas Red, so good to see you here. I'm absolutely no good at those puzzles, and it sounds live and interactive, which means you'd probably be playing with or against otheer people, and to me, that would be rather stressful and nerve wracking. I think the computer makes a better playing partner, lol. I'd be interested in the lively diverse chat, but as for playing with other folks, uh uh, not unless it was a friend, or someone I'd talked to a lot, someone who knows how green I am at these games.

Ok, I think this is right.
http://www.yrguk.com
I thought there was an extra uk in there but on second thought, there isn't, so I think this is the correct one.
Thanks Wonderwoman. THat's the right URL. I'll have to check it out later...
Caitlin
you're welcome. They do have a variety of things, only thing is, the hosiprog theater shows don't work. You can pass a lot of time there. And they have links to the companies that sponsor some of the games they have, but unlike other sponsors, they have other sights related to their sight. I mean, their sponsors are blindess companieswho sell things for the blind and vi. I wasn't going to look at that at first, because I thought it just sold products for people who are vi, but they sell stuff for the totally blind as well.

Sounds like a cool site. I'll definitely check it out!
Caitlin
the daily puzzles are not live or interactive. You just listen and send in your answers on an email. They do have a live puzzle show on for the people.com but that's only on Wednsdays. Give it a try....
Thanks texas red. I might check it out sometime, but I bet I don't get but one out of ten. I'm not good at quizes. I did get 3 in a row right in one of the combination games. The subject was on fictional characters, and since I read quite a bit, I got them almost right off. I think the only trivia quizes I'd be good at is some old tv shows, like andy griffith, and they'd have to be questions about the shows, not questions about the actors personal lives, or show productions.
